DISTRICT 404A2 UNVEILS LATEST LCIF STARS AHEAD OF ABUJA CABINET MEETING

Lions Clubs International , District 404A2 Nigeria has announced a new set of honourees recognised as Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) Stars for attaining the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellow (MJF) and Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow (PMJF) distinctions.
According to the District Arise LCIF Team, the awardees earned the recognition between September 2025 and January 2026 and will be formally decorated at the District Cabinet Meeting scheduled for February 2026 in Abuja.
Leading the list of Progressive Melvin Jones Fellows are: Lion Mohammed Omar Abubakar of Wuse Abuja, and Lion Agboola Dolapo of Port Harcourt Golden.
Other recipients honoured with the Melvin Jones Fellow include: Lion Dr. Mosunmola J. Abdulwaheed (Abuja Metropolitan), Lion Hadiza Abutu Ibrahim (Abuja Metropolitan), Lion Sir Engr. Vitus Sunday Ibeh, FNSE (Abuja Gwarinpa), Lion Grace Oluwafemi Oladipo (Abuja Unity), Lion Vivian O. Egbochiem (Onitsha Ado Central), Lion Chief (Mrs) Evelyn Nicholas (Abuja Golden), Lion Barr. Adeniyi O. Oladele (Abuja Golden), and Lion Adetunji Fashina (Abuja Metropolitan).
The Melvin Jones Fellow (MJF) is one of the highest forms of recognition in Lions Clubs International, awarded to members who demonstrate exceptional commitment to humanitarian service through support for the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF).
District 404A2 leadership said the recognition underscores the members’ dedication to impactful service in areas including healthcare, youth development, and community support initiatives.
The 2025/2026 Lions Service Year in the District is themed “Arise! Serve with Passion,” a message officials say is reflected in the growing number of members supporting LCIF’s global humanitarian efforts.
The award ceremony in Abuja is expected to draw Lions leaders and members from across the District in celebration of the honourees’ contributions
